Investigation Regarding Potential Information Leakage (Final Report)

With regard to the “Investigation Regarding Potential Information Leakage” announced on November 6, we have continued a forensic investigation conducted by an independent external expert, together with an internal investigation.
As the investigation has now been substantially completed, we hereby provide the final report as follows.

  1. Investigation Results

As a result of a detailed investigation into this matter, we have confirmed that an employee’s personal
account was subject to unauthorized access (account compromise).
On the other hand, no external leakage of personal information files subject to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information has been confirmed.
However, it was found that certain files used for business purposes were stored on a cloud service linked to a personal account that was not under the Company’s control.
As this cloud environment was subject to unauthorized access, we have concluded that the possibility of external leakage of these business-related files cannot be completely ruled out.

  1. Confirmed Impact to Date

At present, there has been no confirmation of any unauthorized use of the relevant files or any secondary damage.
In addition, no information leakage from systems or servers managed by the Company has been confirmed.

  1. Measures to Prevent Recurrence

We take this incident very seriously and will review and strengthen our security policies, including the implementation of the following measures:
Clarification and strict enforcement of rules regarding storage locations for business data
Reiteration of the prohibition on using personal accounts (including cloud services) for business purposes
Reimplementation of information security training and the conduct of periodic audits
We will continue our efforts to further strengthen our information security management framework.

  1. Apology

We sincerely apologize for the significant concern and inconvenience caused to our business partners and all other related parties as a result of this incident.
We are fully committed to preventing recurrence, further strengthening our information management systems, and making every effort to restore trust.
